When gorgeous little Lennox just wanted to be gorgeous little Lennox. ♡

I always remind parents photoshoots are so different to what their child is used to, children don't want to stay still for long periods of time, their attention span is very short. I know this from photographing Amelia and Ezra. So we get up, move about and relax a little then get the most gorgeous shots.. like Lennox's here.

His little personality shining through, what he is interested in and just being himself and that's what I aim to achieve in every single photoshoot.

I first met Carolyn 16 years ago when we worked together in my first job. It just happens to be the same place, I met Andrew.

We had a lot of laughs and made a lot memories. Now I get to photograph Carolyn's beautiful babies ♡

Snowing one minute, sunshine the next. Amelia patiently waiting for the snow to lie, just enough to get the sledge out like we did back in January.
I took this photograph of Andrew and Ezra on the way back home from the fun we had that day.

Ezra is Andrew's little mini me. He is obsessed with his daddy's motorbike and when he watches the movie 'cars' and shouts 'daddy's car', he obviously thinks his daddy is really cool. 😂

I love how Ezra looks up to his daddy, like he is his hero. Pretty special.

Over the past months, I've had time to work on my

Amelia- I was planning to give this dress to Ame

Amelia-

I was planning to give this dress to Amelia when she was older but she found it in her wardrobe, came downstairs and asked if I could zip up the back, she started dancing, she told me to wear a white dress to match the one she was wearing, she basically styled our photoshoot 😂

I grabbed the camera as she wore my dress from 26 years ago...

You dance my darling because you want to dance, you swish that dress, twirl and continue to fill every room with your confidence for the rest of your life. You bring so much joy with your kind heart, you speak your truth because your opinion matters.

She knows her worth at just 4 years old, she has such high self esteem, something she doesn't know or yet to understand. I hope to continue to install in her for the rest of her life..

Your opinion matters, speak your truth, say no when you want to say no but also say yes when you want to say yes. Work on your self belief, you can do it, you are worth it.

Andrew asked me what I wanted for mother's day; the one thing I wanted was to get photos of me and the kids. So he took these of us.

I now know what it feels like to be on the other side of the camera, in a photoshoot. The build up, the excitement, styling; of what to wear, how it feels to move your body in a photoshoot, lighting, where to look, just to be natural, just love your babies and be yourself.

The 'why' we chose to have a photoshoot

It really puts things into perspective of how important a photograph really is, the kids will have these photos with their mummy to look back on when they are older.

My baby,

Today he fell asleep in my arms while we sang twinkle twinkle little star together. I got to watch him slowly drift off into a deep sleep- eyes slowly closed, mouth wide open.

I was looking forward to that warm cup of tea that I had made before he decided it was nap time...
The tea can wait, I can make another, the house work can wait, let the dishes sit there and soak this all in. Take your time with your baby and breathe. This is pure love.

Hold them a little longer and appreciate how amazing they are, just simply precious, the years go by too quick..
